Elfun Society - Swope Award

At the discretion of the Board of Directors, a Gerard Swope Award may be presented to a regular or senior member for long and meritorious service to Elfun. The award was established in 1964 to commemorate Gerard Swope, the GE president who founded the Elfun Society in 1928. This is generally considered to be the highest award presented by the organization.
